Calhoun

Calhoun is a hard working, serious band formed in the spring of 2004 as a collection of friends fleshing out a tortured singer-songwriter's 3 minute manifestos. The 'Gray/Blue' record was released in 2006 and was chosen by many as an album with enormous potential. Calhoun released its second album, 'Falter • Waver • Cultivate' (produced by Stuart Sikes — White Stripes, Walkmen) in the spring of 2008 on Artist Garage/Fontana. This release was the first as a full band tracking material written as a unit and was at the top of many D/FW publications albums of the year. The group toured extensively on the release, took a year off, and hooked up with James Barber (Hole, Ryan Adams) to record their new record, Heavy Sugar. Calhoun is gearing up for their first ever European visit in the spring of 2011. The band
has shared the stage with the likes of: Helio Sequence, The Whigs, Phantom Planet, Explosions in the Sky, Elf Power, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Okkervil River,
and Bishop Allen.
Calhoun is - Tim Locke (guitars, vocals), Jordan Roberts (guitars, harmonium, keys), Toby Pipes (keys, vocals), Nolan Thies (bass) & Taylor Young (drums)
